As a first step towards approaching their goal, Jeddah Municipality in Saudi Arabia (The Amana) decided to deploy a scalable Document Management Solution at related headquarters, as well as at their 14 branches, with the objective of properly and efficiently managing their entire content lifecycle, regardless of the information source or the paper format.

Jeddah Municipality wanted initially to create a centrally-managed content warehouse, along with a reliable and scalable Enterprise Document Management System that would cater for JdM’s archiving needs and which would act as a central-standard content base.

Solution Description

By using EverSuite Content Management J2EE Edition, based on Oracle 10g database server, EVER TEAM has successfully built an entire solution for the Amana from the concept to its final delivery, within a 6-month period . This project has extended at a second phase to cover the entire municipality branches in an additional 16 weeks. The system serves today to archive the Municipality’s documents and it acts as a solid content warehouse for all the documentation being produced and utilized by Jeddah Municipality’s workflow applications. The EverSuite Enterprise Document Management Solution has been seamlessly integrated with Microsoft’s Exchange Server, as one of the capture channels, in addition to the Municipality’s correspondence tracking system, as well with many other critical vertical applications at the Jeddah Municipality.
