CCI de Rouen Leverages knowledge and enhances its services with EverSuite Content Management Solution
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Rouen’s mission is to inform, advise and assist around 16,000 companies in the French Seine - Maritime in their development projects. Its documentation center plays a vital role in managing and processing local economic information and provides it to various businesses. EverSuite Content Management, the state-of-the-art, unique and scalable solution for electronic document management, was chosen to allow CCI of Rouen to capitalize on available information and enhance the quality of services.
Challenges
When CCI’s old document management system reached its limitations, due to its proprietary client-server architecture as well as its limited functionalities, EVER TEAM proposed to migrate to another solution: EverSuite Content Management. Beyond the need to be in-line with technological market evolutions, this migration has been seen by the Rouen Chamber of Commerce as a real opportunity to establish a global project to leverage corporate knowledge and streamline information processing, open to all CCI services and departments. EverSuite’s rich set of functionalities, powerful search engine, and scalability, positioned it as a leading solution to CCI. Its fully web based architecture allowed easy and seamless deployment on all CCI sites.
Solution Description
- Knowledge base for the use of entrepreneurs: Faced with the need to provide businesses with turnkey solutions to operate and access information immediately, the documentation center at CCI created a local knowledge base, called “DOCRE”. Built from the articles in the local press, web and other documentation (progress report, municipalities bulletin ...), scanned and indexed, the DOCRE application constituted a real snapshot of the regional economic situation through the media. Through the use of thesaurus, powerful search engine and the multi-format publishing of EverSuite, DOCRE leveraged the use of information.
- In-house tools to all CCI services: After the success of the "DOCRE” project, the documentation center at CCI wanted to provide its know-how of information processing to otherCCI services and departments. Part of the customer reception service re-organization, which was subject to "ISO 9001“ quality certification, another application “AIF” was created to be used as a Q&A base, to help reception officers respond to the various customer questions and issues consistently across the different sites of the CCI.
- In another application dedicated to the Formalities service, EverSuite was used as a business-specific knowledge base tool, helping this service better manage information related to the statements of entrepreneurship; the knowledge base similar to the one used by the reception, aims at becoming the “Bible" of the Formalities for CCI.
